ABOUT US
THE LINDA LORELLE SCHOLARSHIP FUND MISSION
The Linda Lorelle Scholarship Fund, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicate to providing college scholarships, support and guidance for Houston area high school students in need of financial assistance whose potential may be unfulfilled due to circumstances beyond their control.
HISTORY
The Scholarship Fund was founded in 1991 by Linda Lorelle, her husband Lou Gregory, and Linda's colleague Martha Harvey. For several years the organization operated under the umbrella of the Houston Tennis Association awarding small scholarships, in the amount of $2,500 and above, to students in a city-wide, free program sponsored by the National Junior Tennis League. In 1997, the Scholarship Fund became a 501(c)(3) organization and changed the way it selects its winners.
Since its inception, the fund has awarded nearly $1.8 million in scholarship support to 235 students in the Houston area.
